Hey there!
My name is Brandon Bidleman
and I am an illustrator and designer living, working, and studying in Detroit,
Michigan. I’m currently in my junior at the College for Creative Studies where
I refine and improve my craft every day.
I create under the name 6B
Artwork. Not to conceal my identity or anything, I just think it has a nice
ring to it and is easier for people to remember than ‘Brandon Bidleman.’ My
pseudonym is derived from my preference in pencil type. I found that I could
achieve every value I needed with a 6B pencil, and just like the pencil has
become an extension of my arm, its name is now an extension of mine.
I love work that has
confidence. Style, subject matter, and
medium are all irrelevant if the work does not radiate a sense of confidence
and embrace what it is.
This blog will serve as a
platform for me to share not only my own ideas, processes, and finished work,
but also the ideas and work of those that inspire me. One-sided conversations
aren’t much fun though, so your comments are more than welcome!
